Would you like to join our friendly patient services team? 

The post holder will be working in the hub of the practice and part of a large team of patient services advisors, working closely with the Doctors to help patients via reception and by telephone.

Job Summary:

To work within a very busy multi-skilled and professional reception team to provide excellent customer care services to all patients and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with patients at the front desk, booking Nurse and HCA appointments.
  • Dealing with patients via the telephone, taking a detailed history, liaising with the duty doctor to decide an appropriate appointment.
  • Dealing with patient’s anxieties, conflict resolution.
  • Dealing with medication queries
  • Assisting new patients with registrations and online access.
  • Tidying offices and waiting rooms.
  • Chaperone duties
  • Ensuring health and safety of premises at all times.
  • Assisting all members of the primary care team.
  • Calling one call for DN requests
  • Calling Ambulances when requested by a clinician

Key Tasks: Admin Duties:

  • General office duties including photocopying, laminating etc.
  • Workflow / docman tasks and call patient basket.
  • Telephoning patients requesting information or passing on messages from the Clinicians
  • Re-arranging patient appointments
  • Franking post and taking it to the post office.
