Important Update from St Lawrence Surgery

From Monday 6th October, we will be moving to eConsult as the main way of requesting appointments and medical advice.

This is due to national changes in the GP contract, which require all practices to offer online consultation as the first point of contact.

We understand this is a big change, but it will help us:

  • Make sure patients are directed to the right clinician or service more quickly
  • Ensure fair access for all patients
  • Reduce long waiting times on the phone

Unfortunately, with the resources we have, we are unable to run both a full telephone signposting service and eConsult at the same time. For this reason, we kindly ask that all appointment requests, medical queries, and admin requests are submitted via eConsult on our website (open Monday–Friday all day).

If you are unable to use eConsult due to disability, language, or access difficulties, please call our team and they will complete the form with you.

We truly value your patience and understanding as we make this transition. These changes come from government-led NHS policy, and like all GP practices, we must adapt. Our team is working hard to ensure that you continue to receive safe, timely, and effective care.

Here is a video guide on how to use eConsult.

Thank you for your support.
